England is a very famous country which is a part of United Kingdom. This country houses lots of attractions and flourishing buildings of trade and commerce. But apart from being a developed country it also houses the scariest places which are famous for being haunted by the ghosts and wild spirits. Haunted places are believed to house ghouls and supernatural beings. People often see the ghosts and spirits of women in white clothes, thus thrill and chill is spread in the nerves making the people really terrified.

Let us discuss some of the well known haunted places in England.

1. Pluckley, Kent
This is the most famous haunted destination to set fright and horror in our heart and mind. The phantom coach and horses and a colonel are believed to haunt that village. This is the most haunted village in England.

2. 50 Berkeley Square
This is also the haunted place in England where haunted houses are the centers of supernatural or paranormal occurrences. They are believed to contain ghosts, phantoms and evil spirits.

3. Airfields
Airfields, which surround England, include the RAF Bircham Newton in Norfolk, the RAF East Kirkby in Lincolnshire, the RAF Elsham Wolds and the former RAF Tibenham in Norfolk. It is still believed that the ghosts of the martyrs of the Second World War inhabit the airfield areas. Mystical activity is believed to occur in the nearby airfields.

4. Belgrave Hall in Leicester
Here a white figure is seen through the closed circuit televisions and that white figure was a ghost of daughter of the owner of the houses.

5. Raynham Hall in Norfolk
This hall is also the haunted one as it houses a lady in brown clothes cleverly photographed by the two photographers. Most witnesses have seen the apparition on the stairs. The most horrible sight of her was caught by one man who claimed that she had no eyes in her sockets.

6. Windsor Castle
This castle was the home of the royal families of Britain for 1000 years ago. People have seen the spirit of Queen Elizabeth I and Anne Boleyn, the mother of the queen, run across the corridors in the castle. Other ghosts seen in the castle include King George VI, William Gladstone and Andrew, Duke of York. Thus it is the haunted place that houses the ghosts of royal and rich families.

7. Bomere Pool, Bayston Hill

This Bomere Poll is located near the village of Bayston Hill and is haunted by the old ghost of Roman soldier who wanders on the Easter Day in search of his love.

8. Old Bailey, London
It is the famous and haunted criminal court where judges, lawyers and policemen have seen the ghostly figures on the important days of trial.

9. Chillingham Castle, Northumberland

This is the massive castle housed by the Wakefield family around 1200 years ago and has now become the breeding ground of wild ghosts. Many a times, three ghosts are seen here. Among three, one is the boy whose remains are still at the castle. People have heard strange moans and his apparition takes on a blue color.

10. Borley Rectory, Essex
Strange activity began as this mansion was erected. This place is haunted by headless nun and horsemen. Other paranormal events have happened such as the ringing of bells, footsteps, bizarre lights, writing on walls as well as windows breaking.
