The weather conditions can be very rough in winters with everything just freezing outside. The winter backpacking is not always risky as it holds its own beauty of the experience but only if you are well prepared for the worst weather conditions.

- It is not only about staying warm but also hydrated. So you should drink lots of water and prevent it from freezing. Better you keep it inside you warm coat pocket.
- If we talk about the shelters, a sleeping bag and tent are also important for overnight trips. A quick survival shelter from the winter is to pile up the dry leaves, grass, broken ferns and plants. Make the insulated bed with your winter jackets and other blankets.
